One of the Hebrew words for community is Kehilla - a word that connotes a community united by a sense of common purpose.

Our website depicts our purpose to become a community committed to stand on the same foundations as the world itself - Torah, Avodah and Gemilut Chasadim – Torah study, prayer and kind deeds. This is achieved through our communal spirit of warmth, friendship and growing spirituality. I am immensely proud of all that has been achieved in just over three short decades.

Hale is an old English word meaning ‘healthy and strong’ and we are proud to say that this word perfectly describes the Hale Jewish community. At 30 years old, we are young and energetic, growing as a family and still learning along the way.
